Dear Cruiser Parents and Carers,

Welcome back to Summer 1. We hope you had a lovely Easter break.

PE kits

We will be doing PE every Monday morning. Please make sure suitable clothes are packed.

Book bags

Books will be changed on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, so please make sure your child brings their book bag on those days. Some children are now reading chapter books instead of story books, which will take them longer to finish. If your child is reading a chapter book, they may change their book on a Wednesday once they have finished it; otherwise, they do not need to bring it in on Wednesdays. 

Topics 
Maths - Addition and subtraction using column method. Recording symbols for pounds (£) and pence (p).Constructing tables, pictograms, block diagrams and collecting own data. Recall/use x and ÷ facts for 2, 5 and 10 multiples. Measure and compare volume and mass.

Literacy – Leaflets from real places and stories by the same author (Oliver Jefferies).

Science – Animal Habitats.

Topic – Geography (Patterns of the Seasons in the UK)

Art– Animal Enclosures

Computing –Technology Around Us
