Y5 (Steamers)

Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome to the Steamers! This letter contains some important information for the start of the year.

Book bags

Books will be changed on Thursdays, so please make sure your child brings their book bag on that day. Their reading books should be signed whenever you read with them and at least 3 times a week.

PE kits

We will be doing PE every Thursday. Please send your child to school in their school uniform with their PE kit in a bag to change in to. Please make sure your child is wearing appropriate footwear, e.g. trainers, and is dressed for the weather, as our lessons will be outside this term. 

Swimming

This term, we will have swimming lessons on a Tuesday morning starting on 8^th September. Children will need appropriate clothing packed in a bag: a swimming costume or swimming trunks, a swimming cap and a towel.  No jewellery should be worn.  A swimming cap is a mandatory requirement for your child to enter the swimming pool. These can be purchased from the school office.

Water bottles

Please send your child to school with a water bottle every day.
