Y4 (Longboats)

This letter contains some important information for the start of the year. 

Book Bags 

Book bags will be checked on Thursdays. Children will be able to choose a book from the book corner to take home. This is to promote reading for pleasure and you may need to assist your child with reading their chosen story. Please make sure the reading record is signed every time you read with your child. This should be at least three times a week. 

 P.E. 

P.E. will take place on Monday afternoon. Please can you send your child to school in their school uniform with their PE kit in a bag to change in to. Please ensure that your child has appropriate clothes and footwear for this day.  

 Times Tables 

At the end of Year 4, all children are required to do a Times Tables check to ensure they know all their times tables up to 12x12. We encourage you to spend time practising the times tables every day with your children so they are prepared.
